Sharmishtha Choudhury has worked for 27 years with leading regional and state units of various NGOs, Multi-laterally and bi-laterally funded projects and international NGOs. She has sectoral experience of conceptualizing and implementing development programs with special focus on community mobilization, promotion of rights of marginalized children, promotion of quality pre-primary and primary education, program to promote child-centric pedagogy and socially inclusive education.

She has worked with New Education Group’s- Foundation for Innovation and Research in Education, TESS-India’s teacher education project, Terre des Hommes, Germany, International Fund for Agricultural Development and World Bank supported Swa-Shakti Project of Government of India and Integrated Development Foundation.  She is a post-graduate in Rural Development from XISS.
