International Day of the Girl Child – Empowering Young Girls to Navigate the Digital World safely

On the occasion of the International Day of the Girl Child, AADHAAR, with the valuable support of Capgemini volunteers, conducted a Digital Safety Awareness Programme on 13 October 2026, at Savitribai Phule Balika Inter College. The session engaged around 100 students from Classes VIII and IX, equipping them with essential knowledge and skills to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.
Through interactive team activities, students learned about protecting personal information, recognizing online fraud, and understanding cyberbullying.
Key takeaways from the session included:
- Data Privacy: Creating strong passwords and protecting personal information.
- Fraud Prevention: Identifying fake messages and avoiding suspicious links.
- Cyber Safety: Learning how to block and report online harassment and seek support from parents or teachers.
As part of the programme, students were divided into five teams and participated in engaging activities that encouraged informed decision-making in real-world online situations.
A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Manvi Narang, Mr. Arshwinder Singh, Mr. Atul Maheshwari, Mr. Shivam Patel, and Mr. Satyanand Gupta for conducting this insightful session.
