We are delighted to announce that our Team “Trash Transformers” has been officially selected in the First Stage – Virtual Round Championship of the prestigious World Robot Olympiad (WRO) 2025. The team competed in Event 6, among 457 participating teams across 8 events held nationally.
With an impressive performance, our team secured the 48th rank, scoring 50 marks for their project:
“AI-Powered Robotic Waste Management and Sorting System” — an innovative, technology-driven solution addressing one of today’s most urgent global challenges: waste management.
About the Team
The team comprises three exceptional students from our government school partners:
Their journey began at the Capgemini Centre of Excellence in Skilling, where they were introduced to robotics, coding, and hands-on innovation. This Centre provided the foundational training and collaborative environment that empowered the students to ideate, prototype, and bring their project to life.
Acknowledgements
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Capgemini for its unwavering support in democratizing access to STE(A)M education for students from underserved communities.

With all virtual events now concluded and national results declared, we are proud to move forward to the WRO 2025 Regional Round.
